"A returning visitor to this well-run small B&B hotel thought it the best I`ve experienced in the Czech Republic. Earlier
praise: It is so welcoming you wouldn`t want to stay anywhere else. Recently renovated, it is near the botanical gardens. It has a small skylit atrium and a pleasant terraced rear garden; the multi-lingual staff are very friendly. A junior suite was nicely furnished, with small sitting room; good bathroom lighting; double-glazed windows kept out most of the noise of cars on the cobbled street. A ground floor single at the back has a small walled garden, but some noise from Reception. A fine buffet breakfast is served in a room with four clocks which did not agreed on when to chime. Wenceslas Square and the wonderful Café Slavia on the riverbank are about ten minutes walk away. Not all taxi drivers know the hotel (they sometimes mistake it for the nearby Novotel): ask the staff how to say the address in Czech. (Charles K Belair, CG Open all year. Rooms 7 junior suites, 5 double, 2 single. Air-conditioning. Facilities Bar, lounge, breakfast room (no-smoking); background music all day. Garden. Antique shop. Unsuitable for [di].
